I’m going to London tomorrow, and I’m so bringing a bunch of books with me for entertainment! Lately I’ve been reading a lot of horror, and there’s one book in particular I read I while ago that I really approved of.
If you like horror books, this is definitely one you need to check out. Guilty pleasure or not, I have become almost addicted to Dean Koontz’ novels. They are clever, witty, filled with suspense..and not to mention, some of them are simply spine tingling. I’ve been a sucker for horror for years now, be it movies or books, and to be honest, I’m not that easily spooked anymore..haha. But Winter Moon really gave me the heebie jeebies.
The book revolves around a family living in Los Angeles. Jack, an LAPD officer gets shot in a mash-up with a PCP-crazed Hollywood director on the city street. After months of recovery, he unexpectedly inherits a ranch in Montana from a recently deceased stranger, which, in itself seems odd enough. After moving to the ranch, Jack and his family start to experience some rather strange and creepy things there. This might sound cliché, which I kinda thought after reading the back of the book, but it turned out to be a really good horror book. I would definitely recommend it if you’re as much of a sucker for horror books/films as I am!
I actually created a tumblr. I must be crazy.
